I AM the Resurrection and the Life
About this series
It is hard to capture in words the infinite greatness of who Jesus is. How did Jesus describe himself? He often used metaphors or pictures which convey foundational aspects of His person. We begin a new sermon series looking at the glory of Jesus through His “I am . . ." statements in the Gospel of John. Let’s get to know Jesus better together.

Questions to ponder . . .
1. Read John 11 and highlight every form of the word “believe.” Who is challenged to believe? How do they respond? Why did the Jewish leaders respond to this miracle the way they did? What is essential to genuine belief in Jesus?
2. Read John 11:25-26. Jesus’ statement is a bit of a riddle, which is easier to understand on our side of the resurrection. How would you explain Jesus’ words, particularly His use of “live” and“die”? What is the difference between being raised from the dead (Lazarus) and being resurrected from the dead (Jesus)?
3. Hope is a rare commodity. What about this passage gives you hope? What are ways you can share this hope with a neighbor?
