Look forward to
1. Read Genesis15:1-6 and Romans 4:1-2; 13-24. According to these passages, what is the basis of our being declared right in God’s sight?
2. Read Genesis22:1-13 (see also Hebrews 11:17-19). In the account of Genesis 22, how does Abraham show faith and how does God demonstrate grace? What is the relationship between grace and faith?
3. Read James2:18-24. James refers to both Genesis 15and 22 to emphasize another aspect of faith. What is the relationship between faith and works (right living)? How is faith “active” in good works, and how do good works “complete” faith (v. 22).
